Station: [230] Cabinet of Mirrors

This room contains a special feature, just for you. It has six mirrors, in which you can see yourself. But, see how the person looking back at you is dressed; not in your clothes, but in pre-Roman Iron Age clothes, or in the costume of a person from the time of the Roman Empire. The parts of the costumes that you see here, the clasps, ornaments, weapons and implements, have been reconstructed based on grave goods and placed on the parts of the body we think they would have been worn on. This cabinet gives you a realistic idea of what you would have looked like in ages past.
