“If you look out of the window you will mainly see the residential buildings. They obviously do not have anything to do with the old castle. And yet the area was of great importance to the inhabitants of the castle: it used to be the so-called “arboretum”. The place was filled with fruit trees, which provided the noble inhabitants with fresh fruit. Not only apples and pears, which could be found in other places as well, but also exotic apricots and peaches grew here. Bon appetit!”
