However, that is by far not the whole story. High up in the castle the lord resided with fellow aristocrats – the “high society” of their time. Let us visit these noble ladies and gentlemen! In order to reach them, you have to scale the top floor of the museum. Enter the door and follow the signs and keep left. Take the lift to the first mezzanine. Sadly, you will not be greeted by the lord of the castle; instead, we invite you to learn more about the horses of the “Emscherbruch”, a woodland swamp taken over by the mining industry.
