Quiet, please!

In the old days, the district court sat in the large rear hall and determined the weal and woe of folk in the Radeberg district. Assault, fraud, theft or blasphemy – the court tried a range of different offenses. Sometimes, it even dispensed penalties that drew blood.

These days, no trials are held here any more – at best, people come to look, to enjoy and perhaps to be involved in discussions. These rooms regularly host special exhibitions devoted to artists from Saxony and to regional or historical subjects.

After our tour of the architectural history of Klippenstein Castle and Palace, and of the history of the town of Radeberg and of local industry, we’ve come to the end of our time together. We hope you’ve enjoyed your visit and would be delighted to welcome you back in the future. Perhaps in this very room, to one of our special exhibitions?
