With this audio feature, we demonstrate the innovative world of audio guides with ultra-realistic synthesized voices. Traditionally, multilingual audio guides were often expensive and therefore only available to a limited extent. However, this contradicts the principle that cultural participation should be possible for everyone.
The AI audio guides fundamentally change this. You can create audio guides yourself via the portal's protected data maintenance area. A German-language audio script serves as the basis, which is then translated into different languages at the touch of a button and dubbed with synthetic voices. Thanks to the artificial intelligence in the integrated audio lab, you can effortlessly transform extensive specialist texts into exciting and entertaining audio scripts.
Perhaps you have already created an audio guide in 10 languages and would like to quickly add two more? No problem - it only takes a few minutes, including translations and dubbing.
The high flexibility, combined with the low production costs, makes it possible for many museums to offer audio guides in numerous languages for their guests from all over the world for the first time.
All usage rights to the audio files produced remain with you and are available exclusively for you to download.
This technology enables you to create complete audio guides with a user-friendly interface that museum guests can access conveniently via their smartphone. Up to three audio guides can be created inclusive - for example for the permanent exhibition, a special exhibition and a third for upcoming projects or outdoor recordings. All audio guides can be accessed via the German-language museum portal and, from 2025, also via the international museum platform at museum.com.
An audio guide should not only be an integral part of the exhibitions in the museum, but should also be available to a wide audience outside the museum in order to inspire people interested in culture to visit the museum in real life through the digital offer.
We cordially invite you to try out the audio guides created with artificial intelligence free of charge as part of the project “An acoustic journey through the museum world” and inspire your visitors!
