The library
The main body of material that gave rise to the Grappa Museum consists of a collection of approximately 1,600 old and modern books about Grappa and the art of distillation. The first ever printed text on this topic, the "Liber de Arte Distillandi" by Hieronymus Brunschwig, created on May 8th 1500, is one among the most significant works kept here.
The Grappa collection
The Grappa Museum houses the largest known collection of Grappa in Italy. In Bassano del Grappa, about 1500 mignon bottles, coming from 323 distilleries, can be seen whereas 2.000 standard bottles of Grappa, manifactured between the 30's and the 80's and coming from 440 companies, many of which have now disappeared, are on display in Schiavon.
