Audioguide [DE]Das Bielefelder BauernhausMuseum zeigt das ländliche Leben um 1850. Den Mittelpunkt der Freilichtanlage bildet das Haupthaus. Die dortige Ausstellung zeigt die Hintergründe und Zusammenhänge bäuerlichen Lebens: Wovon lebten die Bauern und ihre Familien? Wer wohnte im Haus? Welche Tiere gehörten dazu? Was taten die Hofbewohner im Sommer, was im Winter? Zu den weiteren Highlights des Museums gehören die Bockwindmühle und die Bokemühle, in der Flachs verarbeitet wurde.

Audioguide [EN]The Bielefeld Farmhouse Museum is devoted to rural life in around 1850. At the heart of the open-air complex is the Main House. The exhibition hosted there shows the background and context in which farm life took place. It addresses questions such as “How did the farmers and their families make a living? Who lived in the house? Which animals were involved? What did the farming folk do in summer and in winter? Other museum highlights include a post mill and what’s known as the “Bokemühle”, a hammer mill used to process flax. author: Stefanie Paul
