The museum.de project is a portal for museums from around the world . Here, the museums can present in different ways to an interested friend of museums . From their profile about news, events and picture galleries to the audioguide the museums can use their exhibits , actions and permanent exhibitions to put in the right light. Museum.de yet also offers an interesting print magazine , which deals with stories surrounding museums . With subscription of this magazine can be ordered . Museum.de , founded by Uwe Strauch, launched in 2010, with the first issue of the magazine in Xanten . The website and the database was added soon. With the status of December 2023 are approximately 46,000 museums represented in the portal .
