Station: [20] Zwinger
Your tour ends here in the Zwinger. When our castle was still a defensive complex, the soldiers would have retreated to this area. It was the last line of defence from which they would still have been able to repel an attack.
But your day at Langenburg Castle doesn’t need to end here. We have a great deal more for you to discover. For example, you might like to visit our beautiful castle café in the rose garden and review your tour over coffee or maybe tea and cake.
You could also go on a circular walk around the castle – and simply enjoy our unspoilt surroundings.
But if you want to learn even more about the castle, the castle garden, the Baroque garden and the tea tower, we recommend another walk with an audio guide. We’ve created it especially for our outdoor areas. There is no extra charge.
As to what’s special about them -
well, that’s something else you’ll discover.
We’ll also show you the beautiful half-timbered houses and the old stone buildings that are part of the castle complex! In the historic stables, we’ve exhibited some really nice vintage cars that were once an important part of our lives.
We hope you’ve enjoyed your tour of our castle. Perhaps you’re thinking: Well, that’s it, now I’ve seen it all! But if that’s the case, we have to disappoint you. Many secrets are still hidden away, behind closed doors. We only open those doors during our special guided tours. Please visit our website to find out more. The site also features many events we organise on a regular basis.
But now, it’s time for us to take our leave. Goodbye!
We hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Do come and visit us again some time!
