Station: [85] Stoning
Luke tells us in the Acts of the Apostles: "But Jews came to Lystra from Antioch and Iconium and persuaded the people until they were convinced that this stranger, this Paul, was a danger and must be killed. They tied Paul up and threw large stones at him until they were sure he was dead. Then they grabbed his lifeless body and dragged him out of the city. They threw the body on the garbage heap. But when the disciples surrounded him and wanted to bury the body, he got up and went back into the city with their help. The next day he went on to Derbe with Barnabas and they threw the body in the garbage. But when the disciples surrounded him and wanted to bury the body, he got up and went back to the city with their help. The next day he went on to Derbe with Barnabas.
