Beschreibung
Perched on top of a conical basalt peak, Braunfels Castle welcomes travellers from afar. The castle, which has been owned by the same family for almost eight hundred years, still plays a vital part in preserving the local culture. Its two museums, one devoted to the castle, and the other to the princely family, house a wide range of exceptional art treasures. Visitors can look forward to a magical day out. No guide is required to visit the Family Museum. It exhibits glassware, porcelain and silver plate, weapons and uniforms, many unique objects, and even some of the princesses’ stunning gowns.
